Healing power of God

2. God heals, sometimes miraculously.

If God really exists, then we should not be surprised that he can heal our sicknesses. When the world was created, sickness did not exist. It was a result of the fall of man into sin.
Does everyone who prays to God in the Name of Jesus get immediately healed? No, but sometimes it happens that way.
A neighbor of moved in a few years ago. His wife suffered from a wheat allergy that almost killed her many times before. I would see that sometimes she would just touch her lips to a food and immediately her lips would swell and she would lose her voice. They carried am injection just in case she had a serious reaction. This had been a long-term sickness and she had lost her hair at one time, because of it.
One day we had a church service at our home and I asked for us to pray for her. It was a desperate cry to God. A couple days later she was eating at our house and ate something my wife had cooked and when I asked my wife what was in the food, she showed me a bag of bread crumbs. But the lady did not get sick. Over the next week, she never got sick and I was thinking.. maybe she got healed. Her husband was very concerned at this time, and in disbelief. Eventually he recognized what God had done. His wife began eating sandwiches. Now she loves to bake and even teaches others how to bake.
Are you sick? Have you asked God to heal you in the Name of Jesus?

Do you know that one day all sickness and death will be taken away and things will be restored to Gods' creation?

Revelation 21:2-5 New International Version (NIV)
I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.  ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

God is waiting for you!

Last Sunday, the guest speaker at church spoke about our relationship with God.
Because oh that great message, I wanted to post things I have witnessed and learned about God. I hope others, like you, might add to this.

1. God is waiting for us to turn to Him.
At 17 years old, I was a very blessed person. My family loved me. I had always had anything I wanted. School came easy. I excelled in sports. I had many great friends. I was healthy. But, despite all of this I had grown depressed. I began to hate the world and to hate being a human being. I could see no real purpose in life. In the midst of this I was invited to church by a friend. I went... out of desperation.
What I got was a message from Jesus that exposed the sin in my own heart and life. When the speaker asked if anyone needed to pray to receive the pardon of Jesus, I nervously went to the front. There I confessed the hatred in my heart and asked God to help me to love people. He answered that prayer and gave me a new heart and a new purpose for my life.
Now I can tell you that God is waiting for you. Will you recognize your own sinfulness and cry out to the one who died for us, the one who was killed for our sins, who rose again from the dead to offer us new life?

John 3:16-17

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
